In September 2022, VJ Suave was invited to perform at MAPP_MTL, Montreal’s premier international projection mapping festival. As part of a highly anticipated digital block party, they presented their celebrated “Promenade de cyclo-projection” (Cyclo-projection walk). Navigating their custom-built Suaveciclo through iconic areas like Rosemont and the Quartier des Spectacles, the duo brought their signature blend of technology and street art to the Canadian public.
This interactive projection mapping tour invited friends, families, and festival-goers to physically walk alongside the artists as they pedaled. As the tricycle moved, walls, sidewalks, and architecture were temporarily painted with light, projecting fantastic creatures and poetic animations onto the urban canvas. This shared journey created moments of collective urban wonder, transforming a simple walk into an immersive, moving spectacle that engaged both the local community and the vibrant Montreal arts scene.
