In 2025, VJ Suave returned to Cachoeira do Pedrão in Heliodora, Brazil, to present a projection performance in front of the waterfall.
The project emerged from a desire to deepen the dialogue between moving projections, natural landscape, music, and lasers.
The intervention featured a collaboration with Xique-Xique, who performed a DJ set inspired by VJ Suave’s works, and Fluxuz, who created a laser performance interacting with the projections in real time. The animations were cast directly onto the water, rocks, and surrounding vegetation, layering the movement of projected light, laser beams, and the natural flow of the falls.
Part of the Festival Veludo, the performance continued VJ Suave’s exploration of moving projections outside urban space, investigating how light, sound, and landscape can coexist organically, creating fleeting moments and shared memories shaped by the place itself.
